About

Credo Home of Hope is a registered Non-Profit Organization with our main goal being the care or counselling of abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned or homeless children. This includes helping with all the children’s needs such as food, clothes, paying for education etc.

Credo was established in 2016 by African Mining and Crushing to help Children’s Homes in and around Bloemfontein. Currently there are just over 350 children living in 21 houses.

Children in these houses each receive a monthly government subsidy of R16 for food and R50 for toiletries. This is not enough for all a child’s needs.

With the help of some wonderful monthly sponsors, Credo is able to deliver fresh fruit and vegetables to each house twice a week. This helps to provide nutritious meals for the children.

Over time we have improved some of the houses where children stay but there is still much work needed. Some of these houses still need upgrading their appliances like stoves, fridges, washing machines etc.

We also started a Love Box Project a few years ago. This project has grown to over 350 love boxes. These boxes are packed by volunteers and consist of much-needed clothing items, toiletries, and snacks. We gather and distribute the boxes every term. The children can’t wait to receive them!

A newsletter is sent out each term to show what Credo has done & also to thank all sponsors and volunteers involved.

With our current sponsors we are making a valuable difference in the lives of these children, but we would love to do even more!
